And lol someone’s finally made a joke art about it! It’s funny cause many people thought his name was an intentional pun but upon making this kid, I really had no knowledge of this singer!(I really dunno that many famous peeps, trust me)
I mean I had a few friends online offer me last names when I was deciding on them back then. Swift sounded like a cool last name, so I went with it. A couple of people did poke fun at it saying it sounds like the singer name but I was like “Eh, she must not be that popular” It was only around the time I got my Tumblr did I realize I had created a terrible fate for the child =w=;
Made up a background story for it too! Tyler’s parents first wanted a girl. Tyler’s mom was also a fan of Taylor Swift. So they had already decided to name their kid Taylor when out pops a boy instead. They were like aww man but they still decided to name him something similar to the name.
A few years later Tyler’s sister is born and while they had the urge to name her Taylor, they felt sorry for her already born brother. But at least now they got a girl. They named her Marcy which is also actually a pun; Since a baby girl was delivered to the family so fast, Tyler’s parents thought whatever higher power up there must have been pretty merciful. Mercy had been brought fast to them. Mercy Swift. Marcy Swift.
But yes, just to annoy Tyler, his parents would sometimes sing-song Taylor Swift songs in situations they believe fit the lyrics. I have created the worse parents for this boy haha.

If it wasn’t obvious by now, Tyler does not like Tyler Swift songs. FOR A VERY GOOD REASON.
Maybe I’ll be at least nice enough to not have her in his world or something…

Around 6 years ago (gasp) I did a bunch of lectures on animation theory. One subject was how textures of movement have evolved over the years, alongside the more obvious progression of design.
I made these videos to illustrate more clearly how contrast in timing was something that has a clear progression from the 30s to the 90s. The timechart below each clip represents relative change in space between drawings - from the ultra linear early animation - to the soft bouncing of Classic era Disney - to the exaggerated Warner Bros style - brought to it’s peak by John K (in my opinion).
Sorry about the quality on these gifs. I’ll post more stuff like this if theres any interest.
